Dinamiche e traffici commerciali nella città e nel territorio di Hipponion/Vibo Valentia tra VI-III sec. a.C. attraverso lo studio delle anfore: Nellambito dellVIII edizione FACEM, il presente contributo si propone di presentare i dati preliminari relativi alle produzioni locali/regionali ed allimportazione di anfore provenienti dalla città e dal territorio di Hipponion - Vibo Valentia nel periodo compreso tra il VI e il III sec. a.C. Uno studio completo sulle produzioni anforiche per questo territorio, allo stato attuale, non è stato affrontato ancora in modo del tutto esaustivo, tuttavia lanalisi preliminare dei materiali relativi soltanto ad alcune aree campioni studiate, permette di affermare che la città di Hipponion - Vibo Valentia si presenta assai vitale e ben inserita nei traffici commerciali, pur nel lungo periodo esaminato.

The Pottery Production of Punic Carthage: The archaeological research conducted over the last thirty years has given clear evidence for the existence of a local pottery production at Carthage from its earliest occupation period onwards, that is to say from the second half of the eighth century B.C.E. As an excellent example of the presence of high percentages of locally produced ceramics (handmade ware, plain ware, red slip- and bichrome ware and amphorae), already in deposits of the second half of the eighth century B.C.E., one might mention a stratified archaeological sequence yielded by the recent excavations of the Ghent University/Institut National du Patrimoine (INP) in trench 4 of Bir Messaouda.
